Inviting all undergraduate developers to participate in an epic 24-hour technical showdown - HashCode 2021 by PES Innovation Lab, PES University.
We at PES Innovation Lab are proud to present the 10th iteration of HashCode, the flagship Hackathon of PES University. We invite fellow students pursuing B.Tech to the challenge. Spend 24 hours in this epic showdown of innovating, ideating, and inspiring.

How to participate:
- Read the rules about the event below.
- Register for the event on this page.
- Access the problem statements provided as part of the first round and choose the one which interests you the most.
- Come up with a solution to the problem statement that satisfies the minimum requirements and your own considerations and cases. Make sure to follow the template provided for you (linked below).
- Submit a PDF document of your filled-in template through Devfolio before the Round 1 deadline to complete Round 1.
- We will inform you a few days before the final round as to whether your solution has been shortlisted.
General Rules:
- HashCode is a team participation event. Your team size must be of 2-3 members. A team may submit one and only one idea.
- All members of shortlisted teams must be vaccinated with atleast one dose to be eligible to take part in the onsite Hackathon. You're expected to provide proof of vaccination at the event.
- The event is a two-phase hackathon consisting of a idea submission phase and an onsite hackathon phase.
- In Round 1, the teams are supposed to submit their solution to the problem statement according to the themes provided below, in the form of an abstract and implementation summary (Find the submission template below). Entries must be submitted on Devfolio according to the instructions.
- You must upload a document as part of your idea submission (in PDF format) describing your idea and the approach.
- The shortlisted teams will receive a confirmation mail a few days before the onsite finals with further details.
- The onsite hackathon will start on October 30, 2021, at 09:00 AM IST and end on October 31, 2021, at 09:00 AM IST. You are supposed to work on your hack during the allotted time only.
- The final judging of the top hacks by the judges will be on October 31, 2021, from 09:00 AM onwards.
- You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, hence any submission that has been plagiarized will be disqualified once brought to our attention. Code and other material will be tested for plagiarism.
- You can use open source libraries and other freely available systems or services.
- All submissions to HashCode remain the intellectual property of the teams that developed them.
- By registering for the hackathon, you agree to the terms and conditions of Devfolio.
- Please note that the event organizers and judges have sole discretion to modify the prize amounts in the event of a special case such as a tie.
